Slone was most recently vice president, global supply chain for Whirlpool Corporation where he led the transformation of Whirlpool's supply chain over the past four years.

John T. Mentzer is a professor of Marketing, Logistics, and Transportation at The University of Tennessee, has received numerous awards for his research and teaching in the areas of strategy, forecasting, and customer service quality as a linkage between marketing and logistics in supply chain management.
